I'm back from a very busy (and excellent!) Christmas vacation. I have a huge backlog of ideas to write out, but here's something small to get us started:Jim recently announced to me that he's trying to take back the word "liberal," which is synonymous with "leftist" only in the United States.
His referenced explanation, "What's in a word: 'Liberal,'" is written in the gently mocking, international style typical of The Economist.
