I'm excited by the renewed public interest in agriculture. ...I'm less excited by the fluffy way that it's often misunderstood in the media. I started this blog to help tell the day-in-the-life stories of this industry, its past, and its possible futures.

I'll be writing about genetics, ecology, gardening and all the different ways food gets from the dirt to your plate.
