Though ta...I think this is pretty straightforward. Though talks are not usually intended as entirely public, it's certainly true that anyone in the audience can leave and tell their friends, coworkers, etc. about the talk. So blogging it doesn't seem much different ethically. Reproducing a talk would be a problem, but reporting on it doesn't seem to be a big deal to me. It does, however, require a higher standard of journalism than chatting about a talk over beer with a coworker would.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
